At the heart of Totally Timbers is a story rooted in passion and a journey that spans continents. The tale begins with Richard Lloyd, who, after attending a boat-building course at the age of 18, discovered a profound love for working with wood. This early spark laid the foundation for what would later become the thriving mobile milling business known today.
In 2001, Richard's woodworking journey took an international turn as he moved from the UK to Canada, driven by a quest for knowledge and expertise. Seeking to hone his craft further, he enrolled in a Timber Framing school, immersing himself in the intricate artistry of timber construction.
The seed of entrepreneurship was planted, and in 2005, Richard brought his passion and skills together to establish Totally Timbers. From its humble beginnings, the mobile milling business has grown into a trusted name in the industry.
Behind the scenes, Brenda (Richard's wife) takes charge of the financial helm, ensuring the seamless operation of Totally Timbers. Her meticulous bookkeeping keeps the business running smoothly, allowing Richard to focus on his true calling – crafting exceptional wood products.
Beyond the sawmill, Richard and Brenda share a love for exploration. Their shared passion for traveling takes them to new horizons, where they revel in discovering diverse cultures and meeting new people. Richard, an avid outdoorsman, finds solace in activities like fishing, hiking, and embarking on adventures in his side-by-side ATV.
